" Topic One: Why is this Sprint valuable?

The Product Owner proposes how the product could increase its value and utility in the current Sprint. The whole Scrum Team then collaborates to define a Sprint Goal that communicates why the Sprint is valuable to stakeholders. The Sprint Goal must be finalized prior to the end of Sprint Planning.

The Sprint Goal, the Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint, plus the plan for delivering them are together referred to as the Sprint Backlog. "

The Product Owner is responsible to make all items clear and understood. If the problem wasn't solved, then there's no option other than leaving it to go back to the Product Backlog at the end of the Sprint and be done later. The team is cross-functional and doesn't use external help. We don't deliver partially complete items; everything should be done based on the Definition of Done.

The team still conducts Sprint Review to review "Done" Product Backlog items. If parts of the work is potentially releasable, the Product Owner typically accepts it. All incomplete Product Backlog Items are re-estimated and put back on the Product Backlog.

The Definition of Done is a formal description of the state of the Increment when it meets the quality measures required for the product.

The moment a Product Backlog item meets the Definition of Done, an Increment is born.

The Definition of Done creates transparency by providing everyone a shared understanding of what work was completed as part of the Increment. If a Product Backlog item does not meet the Definition of Done, it cannot be released or even presented at the Sprint Review. Instead, it returns to the Product Backlog for future consideration.

If the Definition of Done for an increment is part of the standards of the organization, all Scrum Teams must follow it as a minimum. If it is not an organizational standard, the Scrum Team must create a Definition of Done appropriate for the product.

The Developers are required to conform to the Definition of Done. If there are multiple Scrum Teams working together on a product, they must mutually define and comply with the same Definition of Done.

In Agile, the Product Owner is responsible for maximizing the value of the product and ensuring that the interests of all stakeholders are balanced in the product development process. When there are multiple stakeholders with different viewpoints and interests, it is important for the Product Owner to listen to their feedback and try to find common ground.

The best strategy for the Product Owner is to prioritize the Product Backlog based on the feedback from stakeholders, and make sure that the highest value items are being worked on first. The Product Owner should also engage with the stakeholders regularly and keep them informed of the progress of the project. By doing so, the Product Owner can ensure that the stakeholders are satisfied with the direction of the project and that the product is being developed in a way that meets their needs and expectations.

The Product Owner should also communicate clearly and effectively with the stakeholders, and be transparent about the decision-making process. By doing so, the Product Owner can build trust with the stakeholders and create a collaborative environment that fosters communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.

Product Backlog Refinement, also known as Product Backlog Grooming, is an ongoing process in Scrum where the Product Owner and the Developers collaborate on adding details, estimates, and order to the Product Backlog items. This process helps ensure that the Product Backlog remains up-to-date, relevant, and prioritized, and that the team has a shared understanding of the work required to deliver valuable increments of the product.

This is how it works: When you first add the items to the Product Backlog, you don't have to break them down into very small and clear items, because it's a form of upfront planning. Some of them may be very large. When you order the items, if they are on the top of the list, you have to make them clear, and make sure they can fit into one Sprint; therefore, you will break them down into smaller items.

The productivity will not increase bc there will be a learning curve for new members. the sprint cannot be aborted to go back to sprint planning. the sprint can only be cancelled by the p.o. upon their inference that the sprint goal is not valid anymore.

If an inspector determines that one or more aspects of a process deviate outside acceptable limits, and that the resulting product will be unacceptable, the process or the material being processed must be adjusted. An adjustment must be made as soon as possible to minimize further deviation.

A. Having timeboxed events (Required)

Scrum mandates timeboxed events to create structure and predictability. These events include Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.

• Example: A Daily Scrum is timeboxed to 15 minutes to ensure focus and quick updates.

E. Sprint Retrospectives (Required)

The Sprint Retrospective is a Scrum event held at the end of each Sprint to reflect and improve processes.

• Example: The team identifies what went well, what didn't, and actions for improvement in future Sprints.
