The Product Owner is one person, not a committee. The Product Owner may represent the desires of a committee in the Product Backlog, but those wanting to change a Product Backlog item’s priority must address the Product Owner.

In Agile projects, self-organizing teams are a key aspect of the methodology. Self-organizing teams are groups of individuals who work together to achieve a common goal without a traditional hierarchical structure. Instead, self-organizing teams are empowered to make decisions and manage their own work, based on the principles of trust, learning, and collaboration.

Creating an environment of trust is important because it allows team members to feel comfortable taking risks and making decisions without fear of retribution or negative consequences. When team members trust each other and their collective abilities, they are more likely to collaborate and work together towards a common goal.

Learning is also critical for self-organizing teams because it enables team members to continuously improve and adapt to changing circumstances. In an Agile project, teams are encouraged to experiment and try new approaches, which means that mistakes will inevitably be made. However, by learning from those mistakes, the team can improve their processes and outcomes over time.

Finally, collaboration is a key aspect of self-organizing teams because it allows team members to leverage each other's strengths and expertise. By working together, team members can share knowledge, solve problems, and deliver better results than they could individually.

In summary, creating an environment of trust, learning, and collaboration is critical for promoting self-organizing teams in an Agile project. When team members are empowered to make decisions and manage their own work, based on these principles, they are able to work more efficiently and effectively towards a common goal.

The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the product meets the needs of the customers and the business, and that the Developers are focused on delivering the highest value work.

A Sprint could be cancelled if the Sprint Goal becomes obsolete. Only the Product Owner has the authority to cancel the Sprint.

The Developers use the Daily Scrum to inspect progress toward the Sprint Goal and to inspect how progress is trending toward completing the work in the Sprint Backlog.

The Scrum Master serves the Product Owner in several ways, including:

● Helping find techniques for effective Product Goal definition and Product Backlog management;

● Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items;

● Helping establish empirical product planning for a complex environment; and,

● Facilitating stakeholder collaboration as requested or needed.

It's best practice, but NOT mandatory.

Note: The Daily Scrum is an internal meeting to the Developers. Therefore, the Product Owner and the Scrum Master may ATTEND the Daily Scrum as silent observers but they cannot actively PARTICIPATE in the Daily Scrum.

The Sprint Backlog is composed of the Sprint Goal (why), the set of Product Backlog items selected for the Sprint (what), as well as an actionable plan for delivering the Increment (how).

The Sprint Backlog is a plan by and for the Developers. It is a highly visible, real-time picture of the work that the Developers plan to accomplish during the Sprint in order to achieve the Sprint Goal. Consequently, the Sprint Backlog is updated throughout the Sprint as more is learned. It should have enough detail that they can inspect their progress in the Daily Scrum.

Developers are the people in the Scrum Team that are committed to creating any aspect of a usable Increment each Sprint.

The specific skills needed by the Developers are often broad and will vary with the domain of work. However, the Developers are always accountable for:

● Creating a plan for the Sprint, the Sprint Backlog;

● Instilling quality by adhering to a Definition of Done;

● Adapting their plan each day toward the Sprint Goal; and,

● Holding each other accountable as professionals.
